Hear From Our Students & Employers
Students and employers share their experiences with the LEAD Internship program.
What Students Say
Before the program, I was nervous about speaking in front of people, working in a professional environment, and not being good enough. After the LEAD workshops, weekly mentorship, and my internship experience, I feel so much more confident and prepared. I loved how much progress I made and how much I learned. I am ready for whatever comes next in my future.

Javier Demafelix
Grade 10
SDVerse
I loved that we got hands-on training before the actual internship, learning tools like LinkedIn, Miro, and presentation design. It was not just lectures; we got to apply what we learned immediately. I love how informative the sessions were! I never would have thought about all these moving parts when it comes to being an intern. I definitely feel more confident and ready.

Lucas Burwell
Grade 11
Wilshire Real Estate
The LEAD workshops taught me things I will use for my entire career. I loved the advice to create a personal brand and online presence. I think it really makes me stand out compared to other people in my field. The internship experience itself was invaluable, it turned a vague interest and turned it into a clear direction.

Riya Singh
Grade 11
The Lundquist Institute
The weekly sessions with Nova School were so helpful. We got to talk with others about our progress within our internship. I liked that we went through business functions and it helped me understand how businesses work in the real world. I liked how we had training sessions to teach us skills before the actual internship.

Sam Karlmann
Grade 11
Wilshire Real Estate
Working in squads taught me so much about collaboration. I liked how we worked in groups for design thinking. It allowed me to see my peers' ideas and perspectives and incorporate them into mine. The collaboration my team had was amazing, and I enjoyed brainstorming together and creating our prototype.
